John Kahl has served as Chief Executive Officer of Henkel Consumer Adhesives since 2001. He joined the company’s sales department in 1985 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming National Sales Manager and Executive Vice President of Sales. Kahl became Chief Operating Officer in 1996 and President in 1997.

Headquartered in Avon, Ohio, Henkel Consumer Adhesives develops and markets a broad array of products including caulks, sealants, tapes, glues, household and office products for the consumer and professional markets. These include the Duck®, Loctite®, LePage® (for Canada only), Painter’s Mate Green®, Pritt®, OSI Pro Series®, PL®, and Polyseamseal® brands.    

Kahl is a member of the Board of Directors of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), a member of the American Hardware Manufacturers Young Executives Council, and a member of Young Presidents’ Organization. He is a graduate of Leadership Cleveland, Class of 2000, and a participant in the Baldwin Wallace College Executive Development Forum. Kahl graduated magna cum laude from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He and his wife reside in Avon Lake, Ohio, with their two children.
