Corporate Senior Vice President, Electronic Materials

Alan assumed the position of Corporate Senior Vice President, Electronic Materials for Henkel on April 3, 2008.  Alan was previously Group Vice President, Electronic Materials, for National Starch & Chemical Co (NSC).  Alan began his career with NSC in June 1983 as a Chemical engineer in the Process Engineering Group in New Jersey working on Advanced Chemical Technologies.  He progressed through a series of engineering and supervisory positions, gaining experience in a wide range of NSC technologies.  In 1989, Alan switched to the business side and joined Ablestik Laboratories, working both in California and Japan.  In late 1995, Alan relocated to Bridgewater, New Jersey and assumed the position of Business Director responsible for the NSC Emulsion business in the United States.  After a couple of years, he returned to California to take leadership for Marketing and Sales in Ablestik, from which he progressed to President of Ablestik, then to Group V.P., Electronic Materials OBE.

Alan holds a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering and a BA Degree in Chemistry with a Minor in History from Rutgers University.  He enjoys Tae Kwon Do, photography and tennis.

Alan resides in Huntington Beach, California, with his wife, Laura, and daughter, Nicole.
