There is a new heavyweight tape making its way to store shelves. Henkel Corporation announces the launch of Loctite™ Sumo™ Tape, a repair tape for the heaviest jobs.

Loctite™ Sumo™ Tape is a repair tape that is two times stronger than all purpose Duck® brand duct tape, and is still easy to unwind and tear.   It has more adhesion than regular duct tapes and other “tough” repair tapes on the market.

Three layers give Loctite™ Sumo™ Tape its power.   A super thick polyethylene film gives the tape its water resistance.  This film is black in color, providing improved UV resistance and outdoor durability.  An expertly stitched fiber layer gives the tape its strength, but still allows it to be torn by hand.   A third layer of thick adhesive gives the tape its powerful grab.
